The Opioid Crisis and Public Opinion: How Advocacy Can Improve Public Health

with Community Health Partnership (CHP)

January 1, 2020

Public opinion is an important aspect of any public health program. This research project examined three public health interventions related to the opioid crisis and identified viable advocacy strategies for local use. Potential strategies were identified by researching strategies used by other communities to positively affect public opinion and enable public health interventions. Potential strategies were then analyzed within the specific context of Colorado Springs to inform future CHP advocacy work to address the opioid crisis and improve health community-wide.
